Prabhat Agarwal

Prabhat Agarwal is Acting Director for Online Platforms at the European Commission’s DG CONNECT, where he leads the enforcement and strategic development of landmark regulations such as the Digital Services Act.

In his current role, he has helped shape Europe’s digital rulebook, building regulatory capacity, and fostering international dialogue on platform governance, algorithmic accountability, and online safety.

Before joining the Commission, Prabhat worked in the private high-tech sector as an R&D scientist. He holds a PhD in Condensed Matter Physics from the University of Cambridge and lives in Brussels with his family of three kids and a cat.
