In the discourse on the future of digital technologies, we see it as our responsibility to give a stage to different perspectives and voices from around the world. We want to ask critical questions about digitalisation, discuss different opinions and outline ideas for the digital future in a globalised world. How can digital innovation and policy be made sustainable and equitable on a global scale? Where are decisions made and who do these decisions influence in the long term? Who gets access to digital tools - and who doesn't?

As part of the Global Perspectives Initiative, we have invited activists, politicians and journalists from the Global South to re:publica 22 to discuss these issues with us.
