Justus von Daniels

Justus is Editor-in-Chief of the non-profit media house CORRECTIV. Based in Berlin, he leads the network for collaborative and investigative journalism. Justus coordinated the „Geheimplan gegen Deutschland“ investigation in 2024. In 2018, he founded CORRECTIV.Lokal, a network of more than 1000 local journalists in Germany. He organized the crowd-based project „Who owns the city“, which ran in eight cities. Before joining CORRECTIV in 2015 as an investigative reporter focusing on international trade, lobbyism or corruption, he worked as a freelance journalist for Der Tagesspiegel and Die Zeit. He is a trained lawyer and obtained a PhD in 2009. Between 2010 and 2012 he worked as a Post doc in Princeton and New York.
