Andy Müller-Maguhn, 53, is a German „Hacktivist“ and long time member of the Chaos Computer Club, CCC. From 1990 to 2003 he was one of the speakers of the CCC, from 2000 to 2003 he acted as an elected director at ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) which is responsible for the structural developement of the Internet. In 2010 he got to know Julian Assange and other members of WikiLeaks. After several US banks and credit card companies started a boycott against WikiLeaks Andy and the Wau Holland Foundation began to collect donations for the legal defense of Julian and Wikileaks. As a friend and regular visitor of Assange at the Ecuadorian embassy in London Müller-Maguhn was surveilled by the Spanish security company UC Global which passed the data on to the US probably to the CIA.
